 | Milagros Cross MILAGROS: spanish for the word "miracles" come in all shapes and sizes. They are metal charms that have been used throughout time in Mexico and all over Latin America. These "milagros" are used in thanks for answered prayers or for blessings received as well as request for divine assintance. Traditionally "milagros" have been nailed to the sides of church walls as well as hung by a ribbon from a particular saint in either churches or shrines. More recently, "milagros" have been incorporated into folk art and take particular personal meanings to the owner of a piece of art. These uniquely made crosses from San Miguel de Allende, in the State of Guanajuato are a perfect example of the art which has become known as "milagreria" or the work of "milagros" into art pieces. This unique piece is hand made by Ernesto, artist from San Miguel de Allende. This beautiful cross is made of wood ( painted green ) and it is 10" high, 4 3/4" wide and 3/4" thick
